More than 81 students from the NCD, Central, Lae, Kimbe, Alotau, Goroka, and Kiunga will now benefit from the ITI.

    • ITI President and Co-Founder Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval said K300,000 would be awarded to the recipients. With K3,700 to be awarded to each student. NCD and Central will have 45 students while 36 will be from the other provinces.
    • Sentheyval said ITI had awarded K1 Million worth of Scholarship since its inception.
    • “We started giving out Scholarships in 2012”, he said.
    • Sentheyval said their aim is to provide of students who cannot afford to pay their fees.
    • He added that they wre planning to increase the amount in future to get more students into the scholarship programme.
    • Mareketing Manager Semi Rose said the scholarship are part of ITI’s social obligation to the country. The scholarship awardees are students who have at last attended secondary and high schools in 2022.
    • ITI offers Certificate, Diploma and Higher Education Diploma courses in Information Technology, accounting, Human Resource Management, Management and Sales and Marketing.

    • The International Training Institute(ITI) plans to introduce two new diploma courses next year, chairman and president of ITI Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval says.
    • Sentheyval said this during the ITI’s 59th graduation ceremony in Port Moresby last Friday.
    • Stating that ITI were planning to introduce small business entrepreneurship and tourism courses to their curriculum.
    • “Our certification and accreditation as an education institution have been given an extension of five years”.
    • Sentheyval said that ITI would be able to go on to the next stage of becoming a higher education institution.
    • He said the school hoped to introduce a higher education programme next year once they were approved.
    • He challenged the grandaunts to use what they had gained in their time of study.
    • “Lecturers have equipped you with the necessary knowledge. It is up to you to use the knowledge to serve your country.”
