Sam Augustine, a proud alumnus of the International Training Institute(ITI),delivered an inspiring address at the recent batch of ITI graduates.
Augustine, who began his journey at ITI in 2008 with a certificate in Computing, shared his personal experiences and the significant impact ITI has had on his career.
Despite dropping out of Grade 12, Augustine’s determination led him to ITI, where he laid the foundation for his professional success.
He secured employment at TISA Bank Ltd shortly after graduation and later returned to ITI to complete a Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) in 2015.
Today, he is the manager of Payments & Settlement at TISA Bank Ltd.
“ITI has been instrumental in shaping my career,” Augustine emphasized.
“The quality education I received here helped me secure formal employment and provided me with the skills and knowledge to advance my career.”
Augustine urged the graduates to embrace creativity and innovation as essential tools for success. He highlighted the importance of a creative mindset, which can lead to groundbreaking ideas and solutions.
“Creativity is not just for artists,” he explained. “It’s a mindset that transcends disciplines. It’s the spark that ignites new ideas and the force that drives us to challenge the status quo.”
He also emphasized the significance of innovation, which involves bringing creative ideas to life. By fostering a learning environment that embraces failure as a stepping stone to success, individuals can refine their approaches and achieve greater breakthroughs.
“As young graduates, it’s your responsibility to nurture these qualities within yourselves and apply them to your daily interactions.
“Embracing creativity and innovation isn’t just a strategy for success; it’s a mindset that can transform your lives.” Augustine concluded.
