STUDENT FAQ

Q. When will I receive my course materials?                                                                                                                                             << top
A. You will receive your materials from the Printery Staff after completion of a dispatch form from the Registrar's office, who will confirm your course you have applied and give you the form so you could pick up the materials.

Q. What if I get the wrong materials for the course I applied?                                                                                                               << top
A. Please contact the Registrar and confirm the course that you want to take before the proceeding on into picking up the materials. Also confirm that you are in the group with respect to the course you have applied.

Q. My course requires a high school certificate as a prerequisite. What if I have trouble locating my high school transcript or certificate?  << top
A. If your high school has been converted to another school or lost, contact the new school to ask where the records were transferred. If the school no longer exists, contact your Measurement Services Unit (MSU) with the Education Department, making sure you provide them with your name as it was when you attended school. For your High School Certificate, contact your MSU so they could provide you with a copy or a letter of attainment to confirm that you have the School Certificate.

Q. How are exams and grading handled?                                                                                                                                                    << top
A. You will sit and achievement exam after you complete each semester in your course of study. These semester exams are close book, however it might vary depending on the educator concern. Our Academics will promptly grade your exam and display the result with your student number on ITI Notice Board. Please check before grades are finalized for processing for graduation. If you fail a lesson exam, you may choose to retake it. You will not be asked to proceed on to do diploma or either graduate if you fail one subject.

Q. What if I misplace my assignments?                                                                                                                                                      << top
A. The responsibility is up to you to see the educator concern for the picking up of the assignment or else you could make a copy of the assignment questions from your friends.

Q. May I submit more than one assignment per week? (If Distance Education Student)                                                                << top
A. Yes, you may. But don't rush through your lessons. And remember: students are not eligible for graduation until all lessons are completed and all tuition and fees have been paid in full.

Q. How often, and where do I send my payments?                                                                                                                                  << top
A. Monthly payments or quarterly installment payments should be mailed to: International Training Institute, P.O. Box 6322, BOROKO, N.C.D. Papua New Guinea or you can use a ITI School fee deposit slip at ANZ Bank in your branch to deposit the fees. Please fax us the copy of the deposit slip and also make a follow up.

Q. Who do I contact if I'm having difficulty with my studies?                                                                                                                  << top
A. Our expert instructional staff is here to assist you in any way we can. You may contact us by going to our online Student Help or by writing to us by using the special question [need to check name of forms] forms at the end of each Study Guide. We will respond promptly. Or, you may call us at 320 2800 and your call will be referred to a member of our knowledgeable team of career educators. Leave a detailed voice message if someone cannot help you right away. We make every effort to return calls within 24 hours.

Q. What if I have to postpone my studies because of illness, my schedule or personal reasons?                                              << top
A. Please contact us at Student Help or call our Student Services at 320 2800.

Q. After I graduate and receive my diploma, can I get a copy of my transcript?                                                                                 << top
A. Yes. You will be given the transcript during the graduation. On the event that you are absent, we will mail it to your contact.

Q. Will my diploma be accepted by other schools, if I decide to further my education?                                                                  << top
A. ITI is a nationally accredited institution, and your diploma is certification of your achievement of knowledge in the career program from which you have graduated. However, it is up to the individual school to determine acceptance or credits for studies completed at ITI.
