ITI awards scholarships for 2010 academic year to schools.

ITI is awarding K85,500 worth of scholarships to more high school and secondary schools in Morobe, Central and National Capital District under its scholarship scheme for 2010 academic year.

The scholarship scheme was put together by the ITI Management and the marketing team both in Port Moresby and Lae.

The schools in Morobe province include Salamaua, Siassi, Dregerhafen, Kabwum, Sialum, Menyamya, Wasu, Busu, Nawaeb, Lae Christian Academy, Bumayong, Pindiu, Markham Valley, Bayune, Bugandi, Lae, Malahang Technical High and Grace Memorial all from Morobe.

ITI Lae Marketing Manager Danny Smith was the man behind every aspect of marketing the programs offered in Lae and the scholarship scheme.
Mr Smith said the scholarship would be provided to one student from each of the high schools in Morobe province.

From the total scholarships, K55,500 worth of scholarships will be given to twenty schools in the nations capital and ten for Central Province Schools.
Mr Kalau Marai, the Marketing Team Leader in Port Moresby has been visiting schools in Central and NCD for the last months.
The scholarship is provided for a six-month certificate training on any preferred course by the candidate. “The candidate for the scholarship is selected by the high school or secondary school itself,’’ he said.
